THE PROBLEMS OF REFORMING OF THE TRAINING SYSTEM FOR NATIONAL SECURITY AND DEFENCE SECTOR OF UKRAINE

Abstract

In accordance with the objectives set out in the National Security Strategy of Ukraine, the Military Doctrine of Ukraine and the Concept for the Development of Security and Defence Sector of Ukraine, modernization of the Sector’s personnel training, retraining and advanced training system is an integral part of the national security and defence capabilities enhancement. This process is to strengthen the ability of our country to resist the aggression of the Russian Federation, to guarantee the peaceful future of Ukraine as a sovereign, democratic and constitutional law-governed state. The article analyzes the requirements of current education legislation of Ukraine on educational institutions with specific conditions of training and studies features of their functioning. A professional scientific interagency discussion on possible ways of modernization of the Security and Defence Sector personnel training system is proposed to start. Special attention is given to regulatory and legal support of institutional changes in the system of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel for the security forces of Ukraine.
