Aims and Scope: the journal focuses upon fundamental and applied research in security studies, international relations.  Book reviews, review papers, as well as researchers' essays are also published in the journal.

The articles cover a broad range of topics including humanitarian, demographic, economic, energy and environmental aspects of security studies, cyber security, national defence capabilities and military industries, intelligence, public-private security partnership, and Ukraine’s international defence and security cooperation, etc.

The journal aims to develop security studies in Ukraine and contribute to the global body of knowledge on security issues through the publication of manuscripts on current national, regional and broader international security issues.  

The journal is intended for researchers, scientists, teachers, postgraduate students, civil servants, policy makers and all those interested in security studies.

The journal's editorial team adheres to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing in order to ensure high ethical and professional standards.

Only original manuscripts that have neither been published before nor submitted for publication in other journals may be submitted to that journal. The articles submitted undergo an independent double-blind peer-review procedure. The Editorial Board takes the final decision on publication of the articles and other materials.

License terms and Copyright: authors retain copyright and full publication rights without restriction and grant the journal right of first publication. All the published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution License International CC-BY that allows others to read, download, copy, print, quote, share and transform the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Open-access Statement: the journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. Full-text access to the scientific articles and other materials published in the journal is presented on the official website in the Archives section.

Author Fees: the journal doesn’t charge authors any fee for submitting, processing and publishing their manuscripts.
